National Forums Arming for Peace in Honduras
The National Forums Arming for Peace in Honduras was developed with the purpose of bringing together young people, civil servants, civil society representatives, organizations, and entrepreneurs, to promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences surrounding the construction of a culture of peace. All this through the development of actions aimed at promoting the protagonism of young people to carry out initiatives that contribute to the prevention and reduction of violence, the improvement of living conditions, environment, health, work, education, culture and citizen participation. These forums highlighted the importance of making young people play a significant and vital role in social and political decision-making processes in the face of the problems that affect them and which are fundamental for the economic and political development of the countries. By 2016, around 180 people had participated in the Forums.
