District and Zonal Boards for Security
The District and Zonal Boards for Security constituted a meeting and working space for the community to actively participate in the design and implementation of public security policies. Its task is to prepare participatory diagnosis, local plans for the prevention of violence and crime, as well as the implementation of community assessment mechanisms of the local police service. These are areas of co-responsibility and co-management of the State and the Community. Each Bureau may establish its own form of organization and rules of operation based on an internal deliberative process. Citizens and civil society organizations can participate in them.
