Multi-Party Youth Table

The Multi-Party Youth Table is a corporation composed of young representatives of different political parties and movements that have legal status. According to the Young Colombia Program of the Presidency of the Republic of Colombia, its operation is based on democratic participation for decision-making. Likewise, it is hoped that the Bureau will promote opportunities for young people based on the consideration of political and ideological differences. The consolidation of the Bureau has been developing at the Latin American level since 2010 when the Iberoamericana de Juventud OIJ organization held a meeting of Latin American political parties and movements in the city of Quito, Ecuador, which resulted in a "Declaration of Youth Party Gathered from Latin America and the Caribbean for "The Commitment of a Young and Transformative Political Culture". This Declaration and the subsequent issuance of Law 1475 of 2011 (for the organization and functioning of political parties and electoral processes) gave rise to the first meeting held on March 26, 2012, convened by Young Colombia and the National Democratic Institute, counting on the presence of 8 of the 13 parties with legal status in the country.
