Municipal Councils for Public Security
The Municipal Councils for Public Security are deliberative, advisory and consultative bodies focused on discussing, analyzing, planning and monitoring public policies that aim to find solutions for problems in public security in municipalities, develop educational campaigns and seek the integration and cooperation between local authorities focused on public safety. Its main objectives are: to plan community actions on security and evaluate their results; to involve the population and the police in tackling the causes of crime and violence in the municipality; and develop educational campaigns to inform the population about conditions and forms of keeping safe.
