State Councils of Culture
The State Councils of Culture are collective bodies, advisory and deliberative in character, responsible for proposing and monitoring state-level cultural policies under implementation. It is up to the council to issue statements on the activities of the State Secretariats of Culture and to establish the general guidelines for state incentives to culture, especially those from the State Fund for Culture. The councils are made up of representatives of the civil society and the public sector, and are usually chaired by the State Secretary of Culture.
