Consultation and Social Participation in the Elaboration of the National Development Plan
The Consultation and Social Participation in the Elaboration of the National Development Plan is carried out every six years to take into consideration the ideas, proposals and concerns of the population. By mandate of the Planning Law, popular consultation forums should involve worker?s organizations, peasants, towns and popular groups; academic, professional and research institutions; business organizations and other social groups; deputies and senators; and indigenous communities. The participation procedures enabled for the Consultation Plan of 2013-2018 were: public consultation through the Internet, physical and electronic citizen proposals, consultation forums and sectorial tables.
