BA Chooses - Ideas to transform the City
"BA Elige - Ideas that transform the City" (lit. BA Chooses - Ideas to transform the City) is an initiative of the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires to seek greater participation of residents who live in the 15 communes of the Argentine capital. It was created in March 2017 as a result of the collaboration between the Citizen Participation area of the Government of Buenos Aires and the Madrid City Council. It is a digital platform that promotes citizen participation in the decision-making process and in the control of public affairs. Through the platform the neighbors can make proposals to improve their communes and support their neighbors initiatives. The initiative seeks to inform citizens about the existing mechanisms of participation while facilitating their access, with the purpose of achieving local management that promotes open government practices. In 2019 it carried out its second edition.
