Bases for the Reform: A Constitution for Santa Fe
Bases for the reform: A constitution for Santa Fe is a participatory proposal of the government of the province of Santa Fe to reform the provincial constitution, with which it wants to revert the process starting from the citizen proposals and not from the political agreements as it is usually done. With this purpose, a digital platform was developed in which citizens could propose and debate ideas from 8 work axes. In the same way, during July and August of 2018 citizen consultations were made vis-a-vis in the towns and cities of the province. Both participatory dialogue exercises were implemented with a view to holding a popular consultation on June 16, 2019, by means of a direct, voluntary and non-binding vote. In this way, Santa Fe´s government wants to open the debate on the future of the province, providing spaces for citizens to participate actively in the process of constitutional reform.
