Participative Budget of Rosario (Multichannel)

The Participatory Budget is a mechanism of citizen participation implemented in the city of Rosario since 2002. This tool allows neighbors to guide a part of the Municipal Budget to the realization of proposals and projects that they consider important for their neighborhood, according to the forms proposed in the District Assemblies, District and Participatory District Councils; these are then elaborated on by Councilors and voted by the neighbors of each sector. Voting takes place through different means: printed ballots, virtual voting (online) and Bolivoto (recycled glass beads deposited in ballot boxes) Technical teams of the Municipality collaborate with the analysis and execution of the projects to guarantee their viability.
