Latacunga's Citizen Action Agenda
Latacunga's Citizen Action Agenda was developed through a participatory process with the objective of improving sustainable urban development in the city. The development of the Agenda consisted of four phases through which citizen opinions were gathered, 12 citizen initiatives were implemented, commitments and strategies were proposed, and the final document of the Agenda was disseminated. More than 100 representatives from different sectors, social organizations and collectives, as well as citizens, participated in this collective construction process. The final document of the Agenda contains concrete demands and actions aimed at improving public policies and decision making in Latacunga. The Agenda was formally delivered to the Mayor of Latacunga in July 2020.
