National Youth Plan 2020 - 2030

The National Youth Plan 2020-2030 was created through a participatory process that took place under the leadership of the Youth Ministry of the Dominican Republic between 2019 and 2020. The Plan defines the goals for different policy areas in which the young population is particularly affected, including education, employment and climate change. The Ministry opened a series of channels for the participation of young Dominicans, mainly focusing on in-person deliberative round tables with representatives of different youth civil society organization, as well as an online platform to collect suggestions and e-mail communication. The citizens? contribution was effectively included in the content of the final document, which is meant to define the path of the country?s youth policy for ten years.
