Dialogues for a Good Living

The Dialogues for Good Living arepart of a platform for dialogue and accountability among the eight indigenous territories that are part of the Indigenous Network Bribrí-Cabécar, and the Government of the Republic. This network is composed of the following territories in the Atlantic area: Talamanca Bribri, Talamanca Cabecar, Kekoldi, Tayni, Telire Nairi Awari, Bajo Chirripo and Alto Chirripo. Six of these territories are located in the province of Limón and the remaining in the province of Cartago. The indigenous groups represented by the Network form 34% of the country's total indigenous population. More than 20 institutions, including the Ministries of Security, Health, Labor and Social Security, Justice and Peace, Economy, Culture and Youth, Education, and the Presidency, as well as the municipal governments of Turrialba, Limón and Talamanca, participate in this two-day activity where agendas are defined and accountability actions are undertaken regarding the State performance in the protection of the rights of indigenous peoples is undertaken.
