Gana Municipal
The GANA Municipal initiative was implemented by the Government of Nariño and the Mayor's Office of Pasto with the objective of promoting citizen participation in the public management and decision-making process. Under the logic of a participatory budget, the authorities presented citizens with several project proposals for them to vote for the most relevant ones for their communities. The voting to select the projects was done through a virtual platform with a local network, which allowed the participation of citizens without Internet access. The initiative was implemented in 58 municipalities and in the city of Pasto.
