Nariño Regional Ecosystem of Social Innovation
The Government of Nariño, in collaboration with CIVICS and allied with the Mayor's Office of Pasto, led a community mapping initiative of social innovation initiatives in the department of Nariño, which they called the Regional Ecosystem of Social Innovation of Nariño. In order to collaborate, citizens can, by filling out a digital form, submit initiatives that are committed to citizen self-organization and generate social impact. The initiatives are then displayed in an online map, which provides information regarding the name of the initiative, the organizations in charge, the initiative's geographic location, and the issues it addresses. The mapping has the purpose of publicizing the initiatives in order to increase their impact and give rise to possible collaborations between interested stakeholders and/or the organizers of the initiatives with one another.
