Colombia

ColombiaCheck

ColombiaCheck is a fact checking project initiated by Consejo de Redacción (lit. Editorial Board), a civil society organization composed mainly by journalists who promote investigative journalism in the country. This organization created a collaborative fact-checking web platform, initially dedicated to following up on the peace negotiations between the government and the FARC guerrila (2016-2018), and later to checking the claims made by candidates and the media during the campaign electoral (2018). From 2019 onwards, the platform is open for any citizen to send information or news to be checked.
