DemoLab
DemoLab is a laboratory for innovation and citizen participation created within the scope of the Bogotá City Council in 2020. During the Bogotá How are we Doing surveys in 2019 (span. Bogotá Cómo Vamos), participants identified the Council, the local legislative body, as the least participatory institution in the city ??government. This motivated the implementation of a laboratory format within this local government branch. The main function of the laboratory is to bring together agents from civil society and other sectors to develop a toolbox to help incorporate participation and gender equality in the Council. So far, DemoLab has been responsible for the design of the Bogotá Citizen Assembly and for transferring the Local Development Plan to virtual meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
