CorpoAmazonia's Action Plan 2020-2030
CorpoAmazonia, the Corporation for the Sustainable Development of the Southern Amazon, proposed a series of consultations with citizens to define its action strategy and general guidelines for the 2020-2030 period. To do so, this state agency made available two mechanisms for participation: first, a web form to send comments and suggestions to be taken into consideration for the plan; on the other, in-person workshops and meetings in different locations in the region. The goal was to include the interests and considerations of citizens, private stakeholders, civil society organizations and local communities in the plan that will guide the work of this state agency in the future.
Institutional design
Formalization: is the innovation embedded in the constitution or legislation, in an administrative act, or not formalized at all?
Frequency: how often does the innovation take place: only once, sporadically, or is it permanent or regular?
Mode of Selection of Participants: is the innovation open to all participants, access is restricted to some kind of condition, or both methods apply?
Type of participants: those who participate are individual citizens, civil society organizations, private stakeholders or a combination of those?
Decisiveness: does the innovation takes binding, non-binding or no decision at all?
Co-governance: is there involvement of the government in the process or not?
