Mapee
Created for the 2018 national elections in Colombia, Mapee is an elections' oversight platform that enables citizens to inform whether candidates comply with propaganda regutions. It was created by the National Electoral Council together with the National Registry and the Electoral Observation Mission of Colombia and has around 900 reported cases. After downloading the app, citizens use geolocation and a photograph to report potential irregularities with elections propaganda. Afterwards, the National Election Council monitors compliance and potential sanctions to candidates and parties.
