COVID-19 Challenge
COVID-19 Challenge is a platform developed by the company Arauco, which registers initiatives to combat Covid-19. Arauco's staff monitors the initiatives and helps to connect their creators with other entrepreneurs who are working on something similar. Additionally, they select initiatives with potential to which they provide support in the search for implementation alternatives and potential financing. Citizens participate not only by formulating and sending initiatives to the platform, but also by checking and digitally supporting those they find interesting, sharing them on their social networks or via email to give them visibility, or requesting to join the team working on the initiative(s).
Institutional design
Formalization: is the innovation embedded in the constitution or legislation, in an administrative act, or not formalized at all?
Frequency: how often does the innovation take place: only once, sporadically, or is it permanent or regular?
Mode of Selection of Participants: is the innovation open to all participants, access is restricted to some kind of condition, or both methods apply?
Type of participants: those who participate are individual citizens, civil society organizations, private stakeholders or a combination of those?
Decisiveness: does the innovation takes binding, non-binding or no decision at all?
Co-governance: is there involvement of the government in the process or not?
