Mobilize+SP Project Contest
The Mobilize+SP Project Contest was a hackathon organized by the municipality of Sao Paulo, with support from the World Bank, Global Road Safety Facility and Bloomberg Philanthropies. The purpose of the hackathon is to have participants propose solutions that make data obtained through the city's electronic traffic monitoring equipment available to the public, and present ways to use it that promote safer and smarter mobility in the city. After the hackathon, four of the projects formulated in it were selected and implemented.
Institutional design
Formalization: is the innovation embedded in the constitution or legislation, in an administrative act, or not formalized at all?

Mode of Selection of Participants: is the innovation open to all participants, access is restricted to some kind of condition, or both methods apply?
Type of participants: those who participate are individual citizens, civil society organizations, private stakeholders or a combination of those?
Decisiveness: does the innovation takes binding, non-binding or no decision at all?
Co-governance: is there involvement of the government in the process or not?
