Municipal Plan for Early Childhood 2018-2030
The Municipal Plan for Early Childhood in Sao Paulo was developed by the local government as mandated per Law 16.710/17. During 2018, the City's Prefecture convened several stances of consultation in order to identify possible actions and inter-institutional collaborations to improve the quality of life of the city's children, especially focusing on children between 0 and 6 years old. To this end, the local government organized and held: a seminar with specialists, workshops with 13 civil society organizations and international organizations for the defense of children's rights, 14 regional seminars with the direct participation of 1,156 citizens, 31 audiences to consult directly with children from different sectors and neighborhoods of the city, an online consultation, and a public audience. The contributions of the process were gathered in a document, which was already partially adopted in Decree No. 58294.
