Let's Go Hackathon

The Let's Go Hackathon was co-organized between Cocriatório and the Goiás state government with the aim of improving the public transparency towards the local citizens, and to make the available data to it more accesible and user-friendly. As part of the hackathon, three challenges were launched: "Adopt a Bid" to find a way for citizens to follow individual bidding processes for State services and providers; "How much?" to facilitate citizens' understanding of public spending; and "Informa Goiás" to improve the transparency of government action. During the two days of the hackathon, seven projects were developed, of which three finalist projects were selected regarding each of the three challenges: "EmpreendeGo", a website to help companies and investors find municipalities with facilities to settle in, "MedGO", an app to help citizens find the best public health services in their vicinity, in response to the third challenge; and "LiCiudadano", an infographic portal based on public spending data, in response to the second. The solutions developed were recognized by the Government of Goiás, but were not subsequently adopted.
