Appartidarias Monitoring
As part of the Appartidarias platform, a project of the Grupo Mulheres do Brazilto make female candidates and their electoral platforms visible during the 2018 elections, a bot was created to identify fake candidacies. If a suspicious application is identified, it is verified by a volunteer from the platform, who checks in the media and social networks if the person affiliated with the application is actually active as such. The objective is to identify possible candidacies of women that have been presented by parties only to formally meet the legal requirements (30%), that is, false candidacies of women who are not truly candidates or politically active. In case of gathering sufficient evidence, the group sends complaints to the corresponding Attorney General's Office and the media.

Mode of Selection of Participants: is the innovation open to all participants, access is restricted to some kind of condition, or both methods apply?
Type of participants: those who participate are individual citizens, civil society organizations, private stakeholders or a combination of those?
