Niterói that we want

Niterói que Queremos (lit. The Niterói we want) was a social participation project carried out in 2013 by the Department of Planning and Modernization of the Administration and Control of the Municipality of Niterói in partnership with the nonprofit association Movimento Brasil Competitivo (lit. Competitive Brazil Movement) and using the Niterói que Queremos Platform as means of participation. Its main goal was to collect opinions about current problems of the city and its future to formulate a Short, Medium and Long-term Strategic Development Plan for the city of Niterói. Citizens could participate by choosing the main problems of the city of Niterói from a list, evaluating different dimensions of the city on a scale of 1 to 10 and sending their opinions on what their dream city would be like. The platform registered the participation of about 5700 people. At the end, a report with the main perceptions was presented.
