Plebiscite on creating new districts in Campinas
The plebiscite on creating new districts in Campinas occurred on October 5th, 2014, and asked if the regions of Ouro Verde and Campo Grande should be raised to the status of administrative districts. The plebiscite was a project of the Campinas City Council and was approved by the Electoral Justice System. 642,732 people took part of the plebiscite and the majority was in favor of the proposal.
