Legislando

Legislando (lit. Legislating) is a collaborative online platform created by the non-governmental organization ?Nossas Cidades? (Lit. Our Cities) with the aim of encouraging citizen participation in the Legislative branch and of bringing citizens closer to their elected representatives. Through this platform, citizens can propose bills and collaborate with projects created by other users by either supporting or rejecting them. Parliamentarians can also register themselves on the platform to propose projects or adopt a project created by society by taking it to its respective legislative house. In 2016, the platform was limited to the Legislative Assemblies of the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, and to the municipalities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
