Active Citizen
?Active Citizen? is a mobile app implemented by the Municipal Government of Cochabamba with the aim of improving the authorities? response to citizen reports. The app, which can be downloaded to any smartphone, allows citizens to send reports to the authorities on services that are not working properly so they can be repaired. Reports, which must include photos, can cover services such as: traffic lights, public lighting, potholes, or any other service related to public infrastructure. Additionally, the app allows the users to follow-up on their reports to know if the service was successfully repaired. A couple of months after the formal implementation of the app, in May 2019, 50 citizen reports were registered.
