Missions Observatory

The Missions Observatory is a project of Transparencia Venezuela, the national chapter of Transparency International. Its objective is to monitor and evaluate the fulfillment of the so-called "Missions", social policy programs at the national level. The Observatory has been in charge of making periodic evaluations on several missions: ?Gran Misión Vivienda Venezuela? (Grand Housing Mission Venezuela?), Gran Misión A Toda Vida Venezuela (?Grand Mission To All Life Venezuela?), Misión Barrio Adentro (?Inside Neighborhood Mission?), Programa de Alimentación Escolar (?Program for School Alimentation?), Misión Hijos de Venezuela (?Sons of Venezuela Mission?). For each of these programs, the organization provides regular reports as well as specific reports on the functioning of the programs on current issues; especially in the areas of housing, health and education.

Formalization: is the innovation embedded in the constitution or legislation, in an administrative act, or not formalized at all?

Frequency: how often does the innovation take place: only once, sporadically, or is it permanent or regular?

Mode of Selection of Participants: is the innovation open to all participants, access is restricted to some kind of condition, or both methods apply?

Type of participants: those who participate are individual citizens, civil society organizations, private stakeholders or a combination of those?

Decisiveness: does the innovation takes binding, non-binding or no decision at all?
