Working Group on Afro-descendants and Anti-racism
The Working Group on Afro-descendants and Anti-racism of the Department of Canelones was created in 2015 by Decree Number 3 of the Departmental Board of Canelones. It was an entity for coordination between the government and civil society organizations and the private sector working with the issues of anti-racism and inclusion of Afro-descendants. It advised the departmental government in the identification of problems, formulation, implementation and monitoring of public policies for inclusion and protection of ethnic minorities.
