MiVoz.uy

The "MiVoz.uy" web platform (lit. My Voice) is a digital space for deliberation and proposals, which was created by the Digital Party of Uruguay. The party seeks to improve democracy by increasing citizen participation and transparency through the use of new technologies. This web platform allows users to make proposals in a wide number of categories that include, among others, Education, Safety, Work, Environment, Health, as well as current issues of the Uruguayan political debate, such as the Bill for Urgent Consideration (2019) or the "Entre Todos" Program. Users can discuss and propose reforms or improvements to the ideas shared on the platform, as well as vote in favor of the best proposals. Legislators elected on behalf of the Digital Party committed to present the most voted proposals in the institutional spaces where they are elected.

Formalization: is the innovation embedded in the constitution or legislation, in an administrative act, or not formalized at all?

Frequency: how often does the innovation take place: only once, sporadically, or is it permanent or regular?

Mode of Selection of Participants: is the innovation open to all participants, access is restricted to some kind of condition, or both methods apply?

Type of participants: those who participate are individual citizens, civil society organizations, private stakeholders or a combination of those?

Decisiveness: does the innovation takes binding, non-binding or no decision at all?

Co-governance: is there involvement of the government in the process or not?
