October DATAFEST 2015 - Challenges

The October DATAFEST is an event held since 2011 by the DATA organization (Open Data, Transparency and Access to Information), a type of Hackathon for the creation of social apps based on open data for resolution or visibility of social issues. In 2015, for the first time, the so-called "Challenges" were included in the program. The idea is to co-create solutions between public bodies and the volunteer groups participating in the DATAFEST. The agencies propose challenges and give relevant information in addition to the support of experts and participants in trying to develop a digital tool, such as an app. This was established according to DATA to give the projects a better sustainability and a better impact.
