Mapping of Citizen Innovation to Improve the City

The Mapping of Citizen Innovation Initiatives to Improve the City of Montevideo was born out of the "Nursery of Citizen Initiatives" project, organized jointly with the City Hall. The Nursery is an open and collaborative online platform that aims to promote citizen initiatives that improve the coexistence and development of cities. The concrete project consists in the opening of collective mapping spaces, that is to say, in the identification and description of different citizen initiatives categorized by themes in an open map for Montevideo. This is done within the framework of workshops, from which it is sought to connect initiatives, discuss them and constitute an input for the Municipality, and that it may incorporate and promote certain initiatives, also within the framework of the Montevideo 2030 project, a project for Think Montevideo towards the future. The CIVICS project also emerged from The Nursery, an online platform in which cases of initiatives can be registered in several cities.
