Citizen Inquiry for Sustainable Reconstruction in Peru
The Voice of my Community was a citizen consultation, held at the end of 2017, on the priorities for the reconstruction of the areas affected by the El Niño Coastal Phenomenon. The consultation was organized by the Committee for Concerted Agreement in the Fight against Poverty in the departments of Piura, Lima, Lambayeque, La Libertad, Cajamarca, Ancash and Tumbes. More than 42,000 Peruvians participated in the consultation and gave their opinion through two ballots designed to gather views on priorities for rehabilitation and reconstruction: for the family and the community, respectively.
