Latin American Map of Feminicides
The Latin American Map of Feminicides is a digital monitoring tool designed by the civil association MundoSur that serves to denounce and make visible gender violence in Latin America. The initiative was developed in mid-2020 due to the escalation of violence resulting from the social confinement caused by the Covid19 pandemic. The Latin American Map of Feminicides is regularly updated with information gathered by Mundosur and by the 23 member organizations of the Latin American Network against Gender Violence. The map serves as a monitoring and alarm tool for other organizations, governments and media to access data during the pandemic.
