Firefighters 116 App
In 2019, the General Volunteer Fire Department of Peru launched an app, Firefighters 116. This app allows users to contact the fire department, to register as a volunteer firefighter, to view or report emergencies occurring nearby in order to prevent risks among the population. The use of novel technologies helps the implementation of the firefighting policy to become more accessible to a larger citizen base. The app has reported more than 10,000 downloads since it was launched.
