Citizen Consultation on the Security Action Plan
Since 2015, the Peruvian district of Lince, through the Citizen Security District Committee, has periodic consults with members of the community to discuss the Citizen Security Action Plan. The consultations are held four times a year and include members of neighborhood councils, local community leaders and other interested citizens. The consultations serve as a face to face deliberative exercise between the local authorities and community leaders in order to asses concerns, recommendations and ideas regarding the citizen security action plan. The consultations also serve as a way to inform the progress in and challenges faced in the combat against crime and other risks to public safety.
