Gov Jam
GovJam is a transnational initiative to find solutions, create projects and propose ideas to solve a variety of public service-related issues. This initiative has been implemented in multiple cities around the globe simultaneously since 2012. The city of Lima has participated in since 2017. The Global Gov Jam encourages citizens to identify and understand their needs and to work hand in hand with the public service in order to solve them. This is achieved through small teams working on specific issues and presenting their pitch at the end of the Jam. The 48-hour yearly event serves as an experimental space for rethinking public services, connecting public officials with citizens and exploring new ways of working of creating public policy.
