Paraguayoite
"Paraguayoite" is a youth-led program whose main objective is to monitor the uses of FONACIDE, the National Fund for Public Investment and Development. It is based on the organized and informed participation of students from institutions benefitting from the money. To this end, it supports the strengthening of student centers: First, they hold training workshops on FONACIDE and how to access and request public information. Next, they conduct in-situ observations of institutions and interviews with people in charge to verify the use of funds. They also have an initiative that aims to combine the PokemonGo game with visits to the specific institutions. They have organized a panel with the presence of government representatives to present the main results and create a space for consultations. The results of the monitoring procedures are published on the website of the civil society organization behind the program.
