Board of Directors of the Secretariat for the Development of Afro-Panamanians
The Board of Directors of the Secretariat for the Development of Afro-Panamanians was created by Law No. 64, which was enacted in December 2016. Its purpose is to direct and execute policies for the inclusion of Afro-Panamanians. It is also among its competencies to approve the preliminary draft of the annual budget of the National Secretariat for the Development of Afro-Panamanians and to propose projects for the inclusion of Afro-Panamanians to the Ministry of Social Development. The Board is made up of 4 ministers, the president of the Council of Rectors of Panama, the director of the Secretariat and four representatives of Afro-Panamanian civil associations.
