Water Security Forum
The Water Security Forum was organized in 2016 by the National Assembly to pursue specific and precise proposals aimed at finding solutions to the water crisis. Water experts from the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and the Caribbean (Span. CATHALAC), the Minister of the Environment, and the Canal Authority participated. The objective was to promote discussions on the responses to the crisis that the State should provide. The activity was organized around four working groups: 1) Municipalities in the process of conservation and use of water resources; 2) Quality and sustainable use of water; 3) Scientific and technological development of water; and 4) Experiences and distribution of drinking water in Panama.
