Dialogues for Wellbeing and Peace: Planning and Transforming Iztapalapa
The Dialogues for Wellbeing and Peace program is implemented by the Mayor's Office of Iztapalapa with the objective of promoting community participation in public management and decision-making. Through dialogues and face-to-face meetings, citizens participate in the identification of problems related to insecurity in their communities in order to design strategies, projects and local agendas. This program promotes dialogue to generate participatory diagnoses between the community and representatives of the government and the police. In the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, dialogues have been conducted through videoconferences and virtual meetings.
