Violet Observatory of Nuevo León
The Violet Observatory of Nuevo León is an initiative of the civil association Alternativas Pacíficas that seeks to guarantee and monitor the fulfillment of women's rights. This initiative has a web portal and a mobile application (Emma App) that allows the collection and compilation of statistical information regarding the different forms of violence against women. The Observatory generates and socializes this information so that it can be taken into account in governmental decision-making. Among other activities, the observatory links victims of violence with institutions that provide protection and care. In addition, this initiative promotes the articulation of collaborative networks with governmental and private actors. The Violet Observatory generates periodic reports and communiqués on the situation of violence against women.
