Working Group of the Draft Constitution of Mexico City
The Working Group of the Draft Constitution of Mexico City is the space for social and civic participation in charge of advising the Head of Government of Mexico City on the elaboration of the Draft Constitution of Mexico City. It is made up of representatives of civil society, academia and specialists. The Group is empowered to evaluate and consider citizen opinion under the criteria of legality, quality, viability and social benefit. It includes 28 representatives of civil society and specialists from different fields. Its main objective is to ensure that the new local Constitution reflects the vital issues of the city and that there is no regression of civil rights and freedoms.
