School in Community
School in Community is a local initiative that promotes school-community management. It is implemented in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The School Board, made up of the principal and teachers of the chosen school, as well as representatives of parents and leaders in the area, identifies and prioritizes issues affecting the school and community, and develops a plan to reduce and eliminate the causes of them. The ultimate goal of the initiative is to improve the educational quality of the school in which it is applied.
