Consultation of the National Strategy REDD+
The Consultation of the National Strategy for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) gathered opinions and feedback on the National Strategy for Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (ENAREDD+) in 2015 and 2016. It sought full participation, exchange of perspectives, learning and mutual understanding with local communities, indigenous peoples and communities, and the general population, to develop a nationally culturally, socially and environmentally viable strategy. The information collected during the consultation phase was systematized and will be incorporated into the text of the National REDD+ Strategy, in order to consider the needs and concerns of people related to the use and management of forest resources.
