Planning Committees for Municipal Development
The Planning Committees for Municipal Development are citizen participation and consultation bodies that support the Town Council to plan and program municipal development. Citizens and social organizations representing the public, social and private sectors of the municipality participate. According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, in 2013 a total of 945 of the 2435 municipalities surveyed for the National Census of Municipal and Delegational (from the delegations (neighborhoods) of Mexico City) Governments had a Planning Committee.
