Your Neighborhood Proposes Program
The Program Your Neighborhood Proposes (Span. Tu Barrio Propone) is an initiative of the Municipality of Quilmes, whereby a budget is allocated to each district of the municipality and neighbors are invited to meet in deliberative forums and formulate the projects in which the funds will be invested. After being formulated, the projects are uploaded to a website. Citizens who did not attend the forums can also upload additional projects. Finally, citizens vote in person on the projects they consider best for their neighborhood, and the municipality finances and implements the winning projects.
