Santa Fe Soil Observatory
The Santa Fe Soil Observatory is an inter-institutional and interdisciplinary space created by the Ministry of Production at the end of 2018, with the participation of public organizations, civil society and private actors related to the agricultural sector. Research organizations such as the Faculties of Agronomy of Rosario and Esperanza, INTA, the College of Agricultural Engineers and other entities belonging to the sector also participate. It is a strategic tool of the provincial government, which through participatory management, seeks to address the challenges of production, climate and sustainability in the region. Through this Observatory, the Government of Santa Fe proposes to preserve agrarian soils, promote conservation practices and facilitate the development of a Sustainable Management Program based on the Law of Soil Conservation and Management. During the first quarter of 2019, workshops were held to sensitize, analyze and validate the proposal being worked on within the Observatory.
