Santa Fe Tree Law

The Tree Law of the Province of Santa Fe had a digital platform for citizen participation promoted by the Ministry of Environment of Santa Fe. Since 2017 when the bill was presented, citizens had the opportunity to participate in line with proposals and opinions on the chapters of the law divided into 8 thematic axes: The Tree: Public Interest; The Public Tree; The Arbolado: a commitment of all; Deadlines; Application Authority; Exceptions; Santafesino Woodland Fund; Sanctions. The implementation of this participatory tool is part of the strategy of Open Government and Public Innovation of the Government of the Province of Santa Fe. The Law of the Tree was promulgated in 2019 and contemplates that the communities elaborate periodic plans around the management of public trees.
