We are Chiantla App
We are Chiantla is a mobile app implemented by the Municipal Government of Chiantla with the objective of promoting transparency and citizen participation. The application was designed through a participatory process involving civil society, local representatives and representatives of tech companies. During this process, participants exchanged ideas and opinions on the main needs of citizens regarding municipal services. In March 2017 the app was officially launched. Through the app, citizens can access accurate information on the use and spending of the public budget, as well as contact details regarding municipal services. In addition, the app allows residents to send reports to municipal authorities about failures in public services and infrastructure.
